Background - Jerry Unger

The way I was trained was different then most IT programs today. My mentors and teachers taught me that my job was to analyze how a business works. How data is moved through the system and used for communications both to internal staff and to external clients or organizations. The goal was always to make the organization more efficient and profitable. Many times the solution would just be adding some more staff training, simplifying complex processes, or removing unneeded steps. The application of computer technology was just done after the fact as needed. It was not the intended goal of the analysis. Computer technology is a tool, nothing more.
